A treasure map of industriousness in the Arnhem - Nijmegen - Wageningen area.

The Economic Board has created an interactive map with interesting organisations in Food, Energy, Health & High Tech. Its aim is to display all  the actors within these sectors who are members of the Lifeport innovation network.

How does the Lifeport map work?

The interactive map of the Lifeport innovation network allows you to take a closer look at our fine region; allow yourself to be surprised by innovations that have won renown the world over... or those that soon will.

By filtering the results, you can conduct a targeted search. Which businesses could become part of your chain?  Perhaps you will find your perfect specialist supplier a lot closer than you would have thought. Or maybe your major corporation will compile a research team of small entrepreneurs that have exactly the expertise you were looking for.

The Arnhem – Nijmegen area, including Wageningen, is home to countless businesses and organisations working on, for instance, innovative solutions for clean energy, high-tech healthcare applications, nutritional medicine, social AI. Through the great work being undertaken in the area, Lifeport's sustainable strategies are making a real difference in people's daily lives.

All these innovative activities are embedded in our uniquely green and metropolitan region. Drive along the river Rhine to see a complete house and office being constructed out of non-recyclable plastic. Discover the astounding fact that near Nijmegen's Waalhaven, a plastic water bottle has been invented which is made 100% from sugar cane.

At the green Heyendaal campus, ParkinsonNet is ensuring better and cheaper healthcare for patients with Parkinson's disease the world over. And did you know that the famous Goffertpark is right next to the Novio Tech Campus? This state-of-the-art research cluster facilitates over seventy businesses in their search for high-tech and healthcare applications. At the same time, businesses and educational institutes are combining their powerful efforts towards the energy transition in the vibrant energy cluster of Industrial Park Kleefse Waard (IPKW).

All this – and much more besides – is at the heart of the Lifeport initiative, which details the economic profile of the Arnhem - Nijmegen - Wageningen area. Lifeport allows The Economic Board and its partners to increase the visibility of the area, both in The Hague as well as in the rest of Europe.
